Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
