Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 Consider this Qur'an full of wisdom: 2 Most surely you are one of the apostles 3 on a straight path; 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe. 7 Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them in veils so that they cannot see: 9 thus, it is all one to them whether thou warnest them or dost not warn them: they will not believe. 10 Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward. 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
