(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
