The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 The piercing star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
