Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
