In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
