And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
Almighty God's Truth.
