The Ant (Al-Naml)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain; 1 A guidance and good tidings for the believers, 2 Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure. 3 We have made the deeds of those who do not believe in the life to come, attractive to them and they wander about blindly. 4 Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds. 8 O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! 9 Cast down your staff' And when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned about retreating, and did not turn back. 'Moses, do not fear, indeed the Messengers do not fear (when they are) with Me, 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." 12 So when Our clear signs came to them, they said: This is clear enchantment. 13 And they denied them – whereas in their hearts they were certain of them – due to injustice and pride; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 14
