And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
