Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 From which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
