The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 has created man, 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
