A (goodly) number from those of old, 39 And a large group from the latter. 40 And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand! 41 In hot wind and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke. 43 Neither cool nor agreeable. 44 and before that they lived at ease, 45 And they persisted in the great violation. 46 And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?- 47 "(We) and our fathers of old?" 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day." 50 Then you went astray, you that belied, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 and will have to fill your bellies therewith, 53 And drink over it scalding water, 54 Drinkers even as the drinking of thirsty camels. 55 Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day! 56 We created you, then why do you believe not? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 It was We who decreed death among you. We will not be surpassed 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? 62 Tell Me! The seed that you sow in the ground. 63 Do you make it grow or is it We who make it grow? 64 Had We wanted, We could have crushed it to bits and you would have been left to lament, 65 Lo! we are laden with debt! 66 Surely, we have been deprived (of the benefits)". 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Is it you who cause it to descend from the clouds, or do We? 69 If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks? 70 Have you thought about the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower? 72 We have made it as a reminder of hell and as a utility for travellers in the jungle. 73 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
