The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning hours 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
