Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
