Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
