The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars darken, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
