The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
