The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and spreading shade 30 And water poured out 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For those of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
