Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah, the King, the Holy, the Mighty, the Wise. 1 It is He who has raised among the unlettered people a messenger from among themselves who recites His revelations to them, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom, for they had formerly been clearly misguided -- 2 Along with others of them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 3 That is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty. 4 The likeness of those who have been loaded with the Torah then they have not carried it, is as the likeness of an ass carrying books. Evil is the likeness of the people who have cried lies to God's signs. God guides never the people of the evildoers. 5 Say: 'O you who are Jews, if you claim that of all people, you alone are the guided by Allah, then long for death if you are truthful' 6 But they will never long for it because of all that their own hands have sent before, and Allah is Aware of evil-doers. 7 Say: "The Death from which ye flee will truly overtake you: then will ye be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open: and He will tell you (the truth of) the things that ye did!" 8
