Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
