The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
