In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
