Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 It will engulf them. 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
