Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!" 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise; 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
