And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
