The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
