The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9
