Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease for me my task 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 to support me. 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
