O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves. 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
