Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
