۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 68
