The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
