Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
