In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who taught by the pen - 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We will now call the guards! 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
