AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 So when they had reached the junction of the two (rivers) they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the sea, going away. 61 So when they had passed beyond it, [Moses] said to his boy, "Bring us our morning meal. We have certainly suffered in this, our journey, [much] fatigue." 62 He replied: 'What do you think, I forgot the fish when we were resting on the rock. None but satan made me forget to mention this; it made its way into the sea in a marvelous fashion' 63 'This is what we have been seeking' said he, and they retraced their footsteps 64 Then the twain found a bondman from Our bondmen, him We had vouchsafed a mercy from before Us, and him We had taught from Our presence a knowledge. 65 Moses said to him: "May l follow you that you may teach me something of the wisdom which you have been taught?" 66 (The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!" 67 How canst thou bear with that whereof thou canst not compass any knowledge? 68 Moses said, "God willing, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in any thing." 69 He said: If you would follow me, then do not question me about any thing until I myself speak to you about it 70
