It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
