Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
