Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
