Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
