Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
