Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 Cushions arranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
