The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 who has created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
