Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 well arranged goblets, 14 and arranged cushions 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
