And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
