NAY, but consider the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
