[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 High has He reared its vault and formed it in accordance with what it was meant to be; 28 and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon; 29 and the earth which He spread out, 30 He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture; 31 and making the mountains firm: 32 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 upon the day when man shall remember what he has striven, 35 and when Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, 37 and preferred the present life, 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, 40 Verily the Garden! that shall be his resort. 41 THEY WILL ASK thee [O Prophet] about the Last Hour: "When will it come to pass?" 42 what have you to do with the mentioning of it? 43 To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46
