Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
