The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
