Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 God said, "Then get out of here; for you are accursed, 34 Condemned till the day of Doom!" 35 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 till the appointed time. 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 over My worshipers you have no authority, except the perverse that follow you. 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
