The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
